While every project is unique, the following outlines how we manage the scope of work from start to finish:
Consultation & Project Planning:

We began by understanding your vision, goals, and budget. During this phase, we review the scope of work, take measurements, and develop a clear plan that aligns with your expectations. This may include layouts ideas, material selections, and guidance on design direction.

Pre-Construction Preparation:
Before any work begins, we finalize selections, confirm scope details, and prepare the space. This includes scheduling, ordering materials, and ensuring all necessary preparations are in place to keep the project running efficiently.
Demolition:
We carefully remove existing materials as outlined in the scope of work. Our team takes precautions to protect surrounding areas and maintain a clean and controlled job site throughout the process.
Structural & Framing Work:
If your project involves modifications such as removing or building walls, adding beams, or reinforcing structures, this is where that work takes place. We ensure everything is properly built and prepared for the next stages. Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP): All in-wall and underfloor systems are addressed at the stage. This includes electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work performed by qualified professionals to ensure everything is up to coded properly installed.
Drywall & Surface Preparation:
We install drywall, complete taping and floating, and prepare surfaces for finishing. This step ensures walls and ceilings are smooth, level, and ready for texture or paint.
Flooring Installation:
Selected flooring materials are installed, whether tile, hardwood, engineered wood, or vinyl. Proper preparation and installation techniques are followed to ensure durability and high-end finish.
Cabinetry, Fixtures & Finishes:
This is where the space begins to come together. Cabinets, countertops, fixtures, and appliances are installed with attention detail and craftsmanship.
Painting & Final Touches:

At Duenez Design & Build, we began in 2015 with a passion for crafting custom cabinets that make homes special. When hurricane Harvey struck in 2017, we saw an opportunity to do even more for our community. Witnessing poor craftsmanship – misaligned tile, uneven shower slopes, cabinets and countertops badly jointed, and improper drywall finishes – we were driven to deliver something better.
